Introducing your Final Approach Crew

Hello and welcome on board. It’s great to have you onboard with us here at Final Approach. My name is Gareth Edwards, speaking to you from the flight deck. “Well the site admin page.”along side me today is my Co Pilot Matt Kitchen and in the cabin we have Haydn, Jack & Scott who are our roaming reporter around the UK. Sit back and relax as we take you on a journey around the world with aviation stories, flying facts & real life aircraft movements. We hope you will enjoy what the site has to offer.

Where it All Began

From a very early age, aviation & transport has always been a number one hobby of ours. Trains, boats and planes have always been the centre point in our social life. We have got to say that blogging is a pretty new thing to us but like most bloggers you have to start somewhere. We recently purchased a new camera from a lady on a social media platform marketplace and wanted to put it to good use and not have it grow dust in a cupboard, so we thought why not get out the airport and take some snaps of the aircraft. It seemed like a good idea. The more we have done it the more we have enjoyed it.

Why Final Approach

Well we have seen many bloggers and YouTubers just heading to the airport and taking photos and videos from the ground perspective. We fancied something different. Their Final Approach. So here we are talking literally feet away from touch down on the runway.

What to Expect

We want to make this enjoyable for everyone. For those who maybe into making note of their sightings, those who enjoy flight simulations and first and foremost for us those who enjoy every aspect of aviation. Due to UK law unfortunately I will be unable to bring you live Air Traffic Control but we can provide live streams from my Radar box which I will go into in a more detailed post.
