Flight diverted 3,000 miles to Manchester Airport after medical emergency
A flight from Frankfurt in Germany to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York has diverted to Manchester Airport. The airport confirmed the diversion was due to a “medical emergency” on board, with the flight diverting to the nearest airport.
According to FlightRadar24, the Condor flight left Frankfurt at 11.45am and was scheduled to land in Manchester at 2.52pm.
Many people took to social media as it was flying very low over the Merseyside area dumping fuel to enable the aircraft to land safely.
We wish the person involved a very speedy recovery.
