Emirates returns to Edinburgh Airport

Emirates returns to Edinburgh Airport

Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines, will resume its Edinburgh to Dubai service this year. Starting November 4, 2024, daily flights will be operated on an A350 aircraft featuring 32 lie-flat seats in business class, 21 seats in premium economy, and 259 economy class seats.

The service had been suspended due to Covid-19, and its resumption marks a significant step in the recovery of the aviation industry. Edinburgh Airport anticipates a record 15 million passengers this year, demonstrating the strong confidence in its operations.

The reinstated service will enhance connectivity for passengers via Emirates’ extensive network.

Flight Schedule:

  • DXB to EDI: 1450 – 1905, daily from November 4
  • EDI to DXB: 2040 – 0805, daily from November 4

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport, expressed excitement about Emirates’ return, highlighting the importance of the route in reinforcing Edinburgh’s status as Scotland’s main international gateway.

Julie Bailey, UK Regional Sales Manager at Emirates, emphasized the significance of Scotland as a key market for both passengers and cargo. She noted that Scottish customers can expect an exceptional travel experience with the A350 aircraft and access to over 130 global destinations via Dubai.

“We are excited to reconnect Edinburgh with the world and look forward to serving our Scottish customers with world-class products and amenities,” Bailey added.
