KLM Aircraft Returns due to a Technical Fault

A flight bound for Glasgow in Scotland was forced to turn around and head back to its origin due to a technical fault with the aircraft.

The KLM service left Amsterdam Schiphol airport at 7.50pm on Monday evening. As it approached the UK on the banks of the river Humber it was forced to turn back and return to the Netherlands.

Passengers on board were not understood to have been at risk and were offered hotel accommodation in Amsterdam and booked on a flight the following day.
